FAQs

The right bra for every blouse. A saree or lehenga blouse is cut closer than almost anything else you wear, so the bra underneath decides how it looks. This edit is organised around blouse necklines: low-back multiway bras for deep-back blouses, seamless wireless and square-neck bras for everyday cotton and silk blouses, push-up and plunge styles for deep necklines, and minimizers for a neat line under fitted blouses.

Don't forget what goes under the saree. Tummy and thigh shaper shorts from Pinq Polka smooth the line under silk and georgette and stop chafing during long functions. High-waist seamless briefs from Tilt and Shop the Edit sit flat under a lehenga skirt.

Quick guide: deep back → low-back multiway bra · sleeveless or sheer → seamless wireless bra · off-shoulder blouse → see our strapless edit · backless choli → see our backless edit.

A seamless, padded T-shirt or wireless bra suits most blouses, since it leaves no lines under silk or cotton. Choose by neckline: low-back for deep backs, plunge for deep fronts, strapless for off-shoulder.

A low-back multiway bra if the blouse has a tie or hook across the back; stick-on cups or boob tape if the back is fully open.

High-waist shaper shorts or a shaping brief under the petticoat. They smooth the tummy and hips and stop the petticoat from clinging.

Many tailors add cups (padding) to blouses, which works for light support. If you need lift or have a fuller bust, a well-fitted bra underneath supports better than stitched-in cups.
